We ventured a little further off the beaten track and deeper into the woodland for this autumn family photoshoot. We were the only souls around apart from a solitary dog walker or two. Olivia, (18months) didn’t stop moving the whole time and was free to run about to her hearts content, pausing only to be tickled and tossed about by Will and Holly.
Katie, (6) was a dream. She loves being in front of the camera and was so relaxed prancing about in the heathers and firs. Most of the photos you can see her playful carefree personality and in one you can see flickers of her future grown up self (I’ll let you guess which one!)
The real moments from this photoshoot feel so happy and relaxed. They are such a lovely family to work with and I’m so glad they chose me to capture this little snippet in time for them.
Each month children grow and change and before you know it, the way they stumble over every stone, the way they prance about without a care in the world and marvel at simple sticks n’ leaves – all becomes a memory.
It is so very important to have a memory of all these little things to remind yourself how little and wild they once were. When they become testing teens or when they are holding babies of their own, you’ll have these moments to savour and gaze upon not just some fuzzy memory in your head.
