When one of my most treasured clients (Hannah) called to chat about the creative and outfits for this years autumn family photo session and proceeded to tell me her hair was purple I just knew we were going to have an epic session.
Hannah was nearly in tears when I described how I wanted to tell a love story about ‘Mason and his mummy’. These two have SUCH a close bond and are so intertwined with each other, he keeps her on her toes and is a cheeky little lad, however at times he is also a total mummies boy.
Having photographed Mason six times before, I knew that in order to get the most out of their session together It would need to have an activity. Because although Mason is used to being in front of my lens, if he doesn’t want to do something, he just doesn’t do it.
I wanted to create something special that reflected their bond. So I described a mother and son ‘date scenario’ to Hannah, where Mason builds a tipi and then takes his Mummy along for a sunset picnic with hot chocolate, cookies and cream. Mason absolutely lapped up every aspect of the session and was so excited when we told him what he was going to get to do!
If you enjoy this session and would like one of your own please get in touch as my October dates are booking up fast.
