Pure light – a late Autumn Photography

The cold late Autumn sun was so powerful during this session, we had to find shade where we could and achieved most of the photos towards the end of the shoot. Sometimes it happens like this. It’s one of the quirks of outdoor photography, you may find the perfect light and spot get the family all happy and playing and them BAM the light does a U- turn and you need to move.

A few years ago I wouldn’t have been confident enough to say, “NOPE! sorry guys we need to hop skip and jump over to here” But experience has taught me that perfect light is key and I want to take amazing photos for my clients, not just good ones.

I think I harnessed the light well on this particular November morning. The colours were like nothing I have seen before, almost like Winter was here but Autumn was still firing at all cylinders. We had deep dark red ferns next to the Christmas fir trees. Beautiful. The family themselves were wonderful, the children were extremely relaxed and happy just spending some quality time with their parents.

I hope you enjoy this selection from their gallery
